Here is a sneak peak at the herringbone quilt I am making at present.  The Pattern is from Maureen Cracknel Handmade blog. http://www.maureencracknellhandmade.blogspot.com.au/2013/09/a-herringbone-quilt-tutorial.html

With careful preparation this quilt goes together quite quickly.  I have chosen to use mainly Amy Butler fabrics from my stash, as well as a few others.

Also working on hand quilting my Riley Blake mini Chevron quilt with no 8 pearle thread.  This quilt is definitely for a girl.

That's all for now back soon....

Sunday 13 April 2014

Back again I spent a busy rainy sunday getting some of my UFO's completed.  What a great feeling to tick a few more off the list.

made myself a new top

Recovered a cushion in my sewing room with some lovely Kath Kitson fabric

Finished another quilt top.  This one I made from a tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Co.  Its the double cut layer cake.  Super easy and super fun, makes using a layer cake with really vibrant colours and prints much easier.

bye for now

Wednesday 9 April 2014

Hi all I have added some photos of my Amy Butler brick path quilt.  I used predominately Amy Butler fabrics ( I just adore her prints).  This one is for the lounge room, and with winter coming it will be perfect to snuggle under while watching movies.
