Hello again, I have been finishing off a couple of quilts started last year, finally have them in the sewing machine to quilt. So I will have photos soon of finished quilts. In the meantime I have added some photos of fabrics I picked up at the airing of the quilts in Braidwood last year. there is a fabulous shop there called "The Fabric Shop" which is very funky I will use these for my next project I think...
B K Quilts is a blog dedicated to all things patchwork, quilting and crafty. I love sewing and quilting gives me the chance to design and make bespoke quilts and gifts.

Well hello again its been head down and tail up to finish a quilt commissioned for an 80th birthday present. Requested was a lap size quilt, pink and green floral shabby chic style.
I decided to quilt this one with a crosshatch pattern and I love the binding on this quilt it looks quite delicate.
Better get this in the post so it reaches the birthday girl in time...
Although shabby chic is not my usual style, I am happy with the fabrics I choose for this quilt, some bought and some from my stash. I added a darker pink border and dark green backing as requested as this quilt is going to get a lot of use.
